Summary

As a Plumbing Technician at Colony Heating and Air Conditioning, you will be an essential part of our dedicated team, providing top-notch plumbing services to our residential and commercial clients. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence. A Plumbing Service Technician works with all aspects of plumbing system repairs and maintenance. Must have at least 2 years of Plumbing experience. This is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties/responsibilities below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by a person in this position. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all duties that may be performed in such a position.

• Install, test, repair and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Inspect drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.
• Install and repair water supply lines, waste disposal systems, and related appliances and fixtures.
• Install and repair valves, pipes, fittings, and fixtures of water and drainage systems.
• Perform maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electric as well as gas water heaters (power vent and natural gas).
• Experience with using manometers.
• Experience and understanding of voltmeter (volts/ohms).
• Ability to identify customer needs and clearly articulate proper services and offerings.
• Boiler experience is preferred.
• Tankless water heater experience is preferred.
• Able to run a plumbing service truck on your own.
• Keep work site, truck, and tools cleaned up daily.
• Use specialized tools and equipment.
• Work rotating on call schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their plumbing needs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Excellent knowledge of safe work environments.
• A mechanical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as willingness and ability to occasionally work with others.
• Ability to perform tasks on their own as well as follow instructions when given.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Must have experience in all aspects of plumbing, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.
• 2 years field service experience is required**
